Why does it matter if it's used? Honestly, your husband won't gain anything by getting the game new and in the end, you'll save probably 30 or 40 bucks by buying used.

That's probably why, I've never created my own match before but going through matchmaking for the hot pursuit default car type (sports I believe) gets me into a full game almost instantly....

If you can deal with a used copy, Gamefly.com has it for $19.99 and their games come with unused online codes.
Or you could get it from Amazon Warehouse deals. Still used, but like-new and they...
