You can also right click on the drive and pick SECURITY. You should be able to adjust security for the entire drive in 1 step. I suggest giving your new login ownership.

I use the 4x ceton pci in mine, and it works great. Picked up a Hauppauge Usb 2x one for the next htpc I'm making. I enjoy that it came with a remote.
