Got mine today. Came in what appeared to be a new retail box package. Is this normal for their refurbs? It looks new in every regard with no indication of being a refurb.

Yea, i would think it would be better to pay the extra $70 for the newer more recent version no? I'm looking for something like this as well and from what I've read, Synology is the way to go.

Well shit, mine is defective right out of the box. Stopped functioning after 5 minutes. So much for quality control on refurbs.
