Yes and no. An extender really only refers to devices that the DRM restrictions won't apply to. So if your recordings are copy protected, only the PC they're recorded on and true extenders (xboxes)...

I think it's a placebo effect, but the latest 4-05 firmware seems to be a little quicker switching channels. It's faster than my HDTV Insight box but slower than the non-HDTV box.
