Yeah, it should be an IPS panel. The color shift on a 30" TN panel would be horrible! :vomit: I have the 3007WFP-HC (slightly newer model) and it's absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the...

How old is it? How long are the controller boards in these monitors expected to last? Maybe it's not a good idea to buy refurb or used.

Oh, that sucks... Did you happen to pay by a Credit Card? If you did, I would contact the Credit Card because they usually cover 1 year after the manufactures warranty, even if you purchased an...

Just wondering, this might sound like a stupid question but did they then adjust the brightness higher when it lost some of the brightness and was it still not bright enough? The reason I ask is...

This will happen to any CCFL display that has endured long hours. I've seen 3007wfp-hc's that have endured a year of being on 24/7 on full brightness - and though they do get slightly darker -...

What's the highest resolution you can get from one of those USB 2.0 external video output adapters? I highly doubt the work laptop can natively put out 2x 2560x1600. Also, this thread needs to...

This solution probably isn't what you want, since the refresh rate is lower. However, there is always the DIY external video card adapter to a laptop:...

This monitor is much better than using a TV. It's like night and day.

I'd rather have both, a 30" and multiple 24", as I do now.

They advertise these as "premium grade" refurbs so I hope these have not been used for four years and thus possibly prone to failure within a year or two. I wonder what is involved in their refurb...

I know of a solution, but ONLY if you have a display port on your laptop or laptop docking-station. You would need to have a display port and buy a ACTIVE Display port to DUAL-Link DVI-D adapter...

I was commenting on the durability of the older Ultrasharps. One of my 2405's from 7 years ago is still going strong, so this 3007 should also last many years more than the 4 it's already done. In...

It depends on what your using the monitor for. If your just gaming, I think a LCD TV is fine. If your using your computer to read text or multitask then the extra desktop real estate and resolution...

My work laptop's docking station DOES have a DisplayPort, so I'm going to take one of these to work. Meanwhile for the other one, like you mentioned, I'm goingto to try one of these adapters and see...

It's hit or miss when it comes to durability. Dell did basically nothing to the 3007wfp and 3007wfp-hc other than housing them in Dell shells. These are just by-pass monitors. Dell gets A grade...
