You should take a look at Vimeo. In good light the results are quite amazing. There are people and forums where they discuss using this camera as a primary video recorder.

Don't know if that's a good thing. HX10V reviews aren't nearly as good as the HX9V reviews, even though it's an older model.

I am guessing your cam has serious sensor problem. Try getting it replaced or return it.I intended to use the camera on that setting only if i bought it.
