Is that actual test results? For card readers I think the chip rather than USB 2.0 interface is the bottleneck. USB 2.0 has the potential to do a lot more than 20MB/s

um.... ok. I guess he didn't claify. with a slower card you'll hit the buffer limit faster. also, there is no networking involved so it's assumed everything is in megabytes.

From what I've read, the 1D Mk4 supports SDHC. The 64gb is SDXC so I would understand that not working, but SDHC goes up to 32gb, so I don't see why there would be a problem with 32gb?

Yes, Class 10 cards are 10MB/s (or, 80Mbit/s). Since the Sony HX9V records 1080p@60fps @ AVCHD 2.0 @ 28Mbit/s (whew!), this card is more than enough.
