This is a decent deal. I got this the last time that Newegg had this deal. It was a combo with 8GB worth of memory. I am currently using it with an i5 2500K and ATI 6950 graphics card and it works...
Haha, I feel ya. I just got this and the other front page deal for the XFX Radeon Double D 6870 too.

Modular cables have been in use for a while, pretty much all the top manufacturers have some sort of modular psu. It's not just exclusive to OCZ. You're about 2-3 years late on the multi...

It all depends on what you're using it for. This is currently my desktop PS, but it's going to my server because it's a single rail. I have a new 600w ocz modxstream I bought to run the server with,...

I really like the OCZ power supplies because they have detachable wires, which is extremely useful when you do not use all of the wires. My OCZ power supply is running good after a year and I...

The reason there are increasingly more multiple rail PSUs is because it provides for more stability since the different components that draw power from the 12v rails do so at different rates. The...

Picked one up to make sure I have enough power for my new video card from the other deal. Man, I'm really disliking how much Diablo 3 is costing me right now.

No, simply no. A single rail means that power isn't split between rails. That means you can attach all accessories to one rail without worrying that you are overloading one rail while not using...

I have it an nzxt full tower with a gigabyte z68 motherboard. The 12v to the cpu barely makes it and I had to pull on the cable a little. The atx connector doesnt have a lot of slack in it either. ...

From what I've read, having more than one rail just provides separate protection on each of the rails. The power for each rail share the same source. I'm just glad this PSU doesn't use Capxon...

Strange. I got mine today to replace a 430W Antec PU running an E8400 and a 6870. My video card's idle temperature was around 37C prior, and it idles at over around 54C. What the heck?

It states its "ready" for both but you need 4 cables not 2.
Will this work for video cards that require two 6 pin connectors?

I think HD6870 cf won't work because HD6870 needs 2 x 6 pin connector each. Some other cards such as HD6850 will probably work because they only use 1 x 6 pin connector each.
