I'm guessing you're on a MacBook Pro? Are you saying it wasn't playable on the HD3000 or the ATI 6570? On my MBP it's playable on max settings @ 1680x1050 on highest everything.

Weekend before the final weekend is my guess. Beta closes on 5/1, they didn't choose it for recreational reasons. I don't think it will, even based on size, my "final client" predownload is over...
