I chose Marantz (Denon was close second, essentially the same) due to my preference of home theater (over music) and the fact Marantz had Audyssey and HK didn't. I LOVED my old HK, sounded amazing...

Hk are really good receivers, awesome design and incredible schematic, however being audiophile will never buy this cheap stuff. Good luck guys for burning your money.

I have several old HKs and all of them can use digital inputs for both primary & secondary zones. Not sure why you can't ... .. unless HK changed that in newer models.. hope not!

HK is known to not "lie" on their audio output specs. I have 3 old HK receivers (AVR-320, AVR-630 and DPR-2000) and they have performed better than comparable Ymaha, Denon, Onkio, etc. That is when...

I think I may have mis-read your statement " I chose Marantz (same as Denon) due to audyssey" - Are you saying Denon & Marantz are made by same manufacturer? I have several HK and loved their...

Maximum power consumption on the AVR3650 is 480 watts. No way it can do 110W per channel with all channels driven - it would need to draw ~1300W from the wall to produce real 770W of audio output...

i can't even relate to how you could say this unless you're one of those people that just compares spec sheets and actually thinks you're comparing like products

It's an AVR354... I am not sure either, but when I scratched my head at it not working and then actually read the manual, it directly said that it could not. It was weird because at the time, I...

Don't waste your time bi-amping your mains. It's a marketing gimmick that Denon even allows it. The only reason you would need to bi-amp mains is if you were putting so much power in them that they...

I don't get distortion on any of my HK receivers even at max volume. I think it depends on your speakers too if they are able to handle that much power. I beleive AVR 3xx series is 50W RMS. My 320...

The 1912 actually loses the Audyssey Multieq XT, but instead gains networking features from what I've read.

I would keep the Denon. MultiEQ XT is a very nice feature to have.

Lol, it is the big spenders who waste their money on imaginary sound differences. Anyway if I was going to burn money it would not be on a receiver, it would be on better speakers.
