I've used thier SATA cables and never had an issue. I've also ordered the flashlights (twice). Expect 4/5 to work and they really are random colors.

No idea, but I can't see them sucking so bad as to not even be useful for optical drives or SATA II HDDs, so worst case scenario you order some pricier cables for your SSD and recoup a bit of the hit...
