SATA3 is backwards compatible with SATA2, so if you're afraid it won't work... don't be... it will work. You'll just be limited to SATA2 speeds.

Yeah, I can vouch for the reliability of the Intel SSDs. We've had 3 X25 drives (1 in a desktop, 2 others in laptops) for almost 3 years and never had any problems. They are performing as day 1.
