I was on AT&T but also briefly tried it on T-Mobile. Applied universally; those 3G bands are not in use here.

With only a 60 day warranty I would avoid this. Much better ways to drop your $200. I love my WP - I just don't love this deal.

Got this phone cheap off CL. Decent enough phone and cheap to unlock. What I like the most about it - its loud. Big loud beeps when you dial and nice loud voice when talking. Like loud enough...

Depends. I'm on Tmobile and have swapped phones numerous times. I don't have a data plan and have used phones such as G2, HD2, S2, Blackberry's, G1, etc with no problem. Tmobile has not said anything...

MY HTC Tile (windows mobile 5) danced circles around my iPhone as far as usability went. I'm sure they did a fine job with this one too.

I thought the Trophy was for Verizon? At least the one they offered during microsoft challenge was (i thought).

Ah, yeah, that makes more sense. Seems to me I remember seeing a blackberry with a verizon/vodaphone branded SIM in it. This would probably take one too.

Give me reputation if you also think it's so stupid for carriers to force data plan on smart phone. :woot:

A little, but... I've been using a smart phone since 2007 and never once had my own data plan for 4 years straight. Finally jumped on the data band wagon this year, couldn't take it anymore. ...

I think it's a little different from having to decide you want a data plan rather than having it forced upon you. If you want a data plan, might as well do an upgrade if you plan on sticking it out...

Yes, it depends on users, but I think it's still worth using it even without dataplan. I loved carrying my PDA like 10 years ago. When I first tried to use a smartphone 3 years ago, I wanted to use...

I think the Trophy is actually one of those phones that Verizon classifies as a World Phone. That is it designed for use on Verizon but will take overseas sim cards. Maybe the seller unlocked the...
