Most people blame the Thailand flood for the hard drive shortage and high price. I think it's bs now. Price is starting to come down. If you can wait until late summer, the price would be cheaper.

I paid $85+tax for the 2TB 7200rpm external USB3.0 (Staples; Seagate GoFlex) and felt like I could have gotten a better deal if I waited. This 1TB for $70 shocks me it is this highly rated.
