I hear people avoid HIS because they're RMA process is long and terrible. In fact, a quick google confirms this. People claim the turnaround time is around 30 days, and upwards up to 6 weeks.

If I had the choice, I'd avoid HIS. Plenty of other companies that I would trust my $200-250 with. Those companies being.. XFX, Gigabyte, Sapphire, etc.

AMD/ATI's price on the 7xxx series can't compete with the 680. They could afford to price it high when it first released, but not now after Nvidia has launched the 680.

Waiting right now is probably a good move as we have yet to see what Nvidia's next release will be - if its anything like then 680 we're going to see AMD have to cut prices further to be competitive.
