No need to purchase another box to run WHS, just install as a virtual machine using either Hyper-V (embeded into Windows 8 consumer preview) or VMware. Just be careful that your NIC is compatible....

dunno which you really mean... 100 kilobits/second would suck - about 3x a good dialup.. but 100 kilobytes/second is typical upload for a modest cable/dsl speed; it's roughly 768k upload ...
