The refurb is $50..I wonder if the rebate would work on the refurb. I didn't see anything in the terms that would indicate no....only thing would be if the UPC is different.

Definitely will NOT work, as the item number and part number are different from the new player. The rebate specifically lists only the part number of the new player as being eligible for the rebate....
