I can definitively say that if you are going with any SLI setup, the GA-78LMT-S2P Socket AM3+ 760G mATX AMD Motherboard will not work. You'll need two slots, the GA-78LMT only has one.

I tried it with second-to-cheapest AM3+ board which is the ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS and it works. At these prices, MC is outpricing other retailers on the CPU alone, not even mentioning the free/cheap...

yes you can do that, i've bought the enzotech mosfet heatisnk ones from newegg for $16 after tax and applied it on. the throttling is A LOT less now, but it still happens when i run cpu stress...
