Good luck with your optics if you are only getting 1/5 the light compared to APS-C on F3.5.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about the tax. I paid more my G11 back when I bought it, so when I seen it was under $400, I couldn't believe it was that low.

I got the G12 for $300 at frys pre X-Mas 2011. This does seem to be one of the better deals out there right now though. (Excellent for a high end point and shoot IMO)

For the same money, why not get a E-PL2 or D3100. Canon may have great reputation but those tiny CCD sensors simply cannot compete in today's market.

Bought this camera last time from frys for $299. It is a very nice camera.
I have owned g1, g2, g3, g5, and g6. I love the g series. Ever photo is sharp.
