I think in this case, its not even a factor at all. I'm positive Crucial just took the exact same M4, removed the unnecessary spacer, and called it a new SKU. Broke + Apple = Does not compute....

M4 has been 7mm for a very long time. Pretty much all SSD can fit in 7mm casing. It's a matter of wrapping rather than its content.
