The biggest 2.5" hdd that I know of right now is only 1tb and those are too expensive to be worth the mobility (imo). 3.5" hdds will require more power than what a USB cable is able to provide...

try 2.5" one... for now, usb port can't provide enough power for 3.5" hard drive. when usb 3 with 100w of power comes out, it may change the game.

Yeah, same thought. Why not just buy these external drives versus the internal ones? Some of these external hard drives seem to be cheaper than their equivalent same-sized internal hard drive.

I don't think a 2tb usb powered one exists. you'll have to get two 1Tb ones.
