Called and gave the same exact story as OP and got it for $1099, they wouldn't go any lower, even with adding on the 5 year warranty. So I bite, $1099 is a great deal for a brand new U3011.

Hahaha nice :D So envious, but the monitors are godly for the price! Even with dead pixels... I have 1... i NEVER notice it. with 2560x1440 pixels, even if you have 1 dead pixel, it's way too small...
