Form factor has nothing to do with it. I have an ITX (smaller than uATX) Z77 system with a 2600k (overclocked to 4.2GHz) and a GTX 680. I am pretty sure this system vastly outpowers this Alienware.

In for one. I've had better luck with overall performance with Alienware vs Asus ROG vs Sager (I use a G74 now and was thinking about getting a G75 but I simply haven't been that impressed).

I had a m18x with a 2960xm cpu and crossfire 6990's I picked up through dell outlet. It handled anything I threw at it. Got rid of it because I was too scared to take it out in public. :/

People should make sure they're okay with an M18X. They are HUGE. I had one, and returned it. I'm waiting for external GPU solutions, which can empower a puny ultrabook with high-end graphics.
