I am in market for a TV, as far as read, plasma has great glare problems. I don't understand why you are suggesting plasma, Am I understanding something wrong here?
Post #49981992 added 05-11-2012 9:56 AM by TidalWaveOne in Archived Deals
Not all plasmas have glare problems... if glare is an issue, then look for one that has a good anti-glare screen.

yeah my bad, but then I pointed out some other differences.. 8600 has Dual Core CPU, Voice Commands from remote, and from what I can tell in reviews, 8600 is matte, 7600 is glossy.

im no tv expert but from my experience, glossy screen looks generally better given that you get no light where you have the TV in. In the case there is even the slightest light inside the room,...

TidalWaveOne - do you find the screen dark? I am suspecting the Intelligent Sensor but it is dim lit at certain times. Also, does your back panel say 120 ~ 240V? I got a 47LM6700 and thinking of...

I bought the 55LM6700 recently. It's nice but the glossy screen bothers me... and will probably bother you too if you have windows in front of the TV or lights on while watching it.
Post #49977062 added 05-11-2012 6:26 AM by TidalWaveOne in Archived Deals
Not sure what you mean by the screen being dark? You mean "deep blacks"? I think the picture quality is really good when there's no glare, but I tweaked it using the "Picture Wizard II" and messing...

The first two seem to be, yes. But the 47LM6700 for $999.99 still seems live. At least it lets me add it to my cart and shows the $999.99 price w/free "Super Saver" shipping. But since I'm not buying...

Seems that the only difference is 120 v. 240 and a black bezel versus silver. In the 55 inch it is a $350 difference (55LM6700 to 55LM7600) and ends up $50 more expensive than the 55LM8600.
