you are correct, you will not notice a difference unless you use it as your boot drive. I almost halved my boot time, and I noticed the time coming in and out hibernation has decreased significantly.

While the onboard NAND is nice, it is still a mechanical drive and it is actually slower than the WD raptors which are the fastest mechanical SATA drives currently available.
