in 4 1 I had a 25off75 about to expire, so this was perfect, thanks OP. Agent price matched via chat as I made my order online, no problem. I also started with Shop Discover for 5% hopefully.

And you're still (stubbornly) wrong. Seagate has never made a "green" 3tb drive, or anything in that capacity under 7200rpm. Give up.

Ugh. The fact that we're talking about regular-sized, 3.5-inch drives is utterly obvious. But you probably overlooked that, doing a quick Google search for Seagate and 5400rpm (tiny ego rush?).

If you want to use the drive in its current enclosure then yes, you'd run the risk of overheating and lowering the life of the drive. I plan on breaking the case open and throwing it into my desktop....

So you're saying we can stack these? How about buying multiple ink rewards?
Post #50023034 added 05-13-2012 4:18 PM by AndroAsc in Archived Deals
That's not correct. $99 with $25 coupon would be $74 pre-tax, so the net price is probably around $80. Rewards should not be counted, since those are equivalent to cash when redeemed through free...

i don't understand where i am incorrect....i did say the sale price was $99 which was lower than $105 above. i just explained how i got one for $58 using coupon and reward.

Is this drive portable enough to take around on trips and such to watch videos on the go or is it too big for that?

I've got two of the 25 of 100 coupons that expire on 5/16. If someone wants them PM me, first one to PM gets them. I bought them a month ago in hopes of using it on a 3tb staples deal. Ended up...

If I used a Staples coupon on one of these a few months ago can I use one again? I know there is a limit imposed somehow.

Have you actually tried this yet? I'm not sure you can price match after using the coupon since the price will be less than what Amazon is selling it for. From Staples Price Match Policy: "How...

From the reviews on Amazon, it sounds like these are Seagate Green drives which can be removed from the cases and used internally. Anyone else have experience with removing these from the case?

Has anyone received there's and if they opened it up what did you find? I have one on order to (hopefully) use for an internal... Thanks.

Hey guys, how do you disable APM using the CrystalDiskInfo software? I tried, but the disable button does nothing! The settings don't seem to be adjustable!!!

Yep you'll just need to format it for Mac and you're golden :). Hard drives are not different for mac/pc.

Barracuda XT 7200RPM (ST33000651AS) is $300...(does have 5 year warranty). The newer Barracuda drive (ST3000DM001) is $163 w/1 year warranty. So at $320 you could buy two new, internal drives, with 1...

Does anyone know if this drive is compatible with Mac? Seagate website shows only Windows, but some reviewers on Amazon say they're using this with Macs. Thanks!

Just rip the case apart and yank the SATA drive out if you want it to be internal. That said, a USB3 cable with a single drive on it is pretty much as fast as internal, if you don't mind the extra...

It was the service I was happy with. Not their fault that the Seagate drives suck. Sure, I would have been even happier if I got a 3 TB 7200rpm USB 3.0 but after all I had in this deal (coupons and...
