In the past, I was able to purchase staples gift cards online using rewards It is not exactly turning them into cash but at least you don't have to worry about rewards getting expired.

are you price matching to staples.com? if you do a kiosk order, then it's considered an online order with option to pay in store so you don't need to do any price matching.
