instead of scanning the tag, you just punch in the numbers using the buttons on the right hand side of the machine then hit enter.

just a heads up, this uses edge lit LED back lighting. which i personally hate. the TV will be very thin, but its possible to see white light bleed in from the sides, on a dark screen.

It's a Sony, you should be able to program it into ANY universal remote and at least get basic functionality. You'll lose out on the smart features unless you have a Harmony or advanced universal...

Went in to get the Google TV but they were sold out. Instead I walked out with the 37" Magnavox LCD for $180. TV looks pretty good, hard to find a 37" at that price.
