Second - just made the jump and got the 5DMII refurbished from Canon using their loyalty program for $1450ish. Best decision I've recently made - and the camera's shudder count was about 239. If...

Well you can say the same about just ANY electronics products.
You could get the dirty thirty, though that's gonna cost you more than a flash. Sigma 30mm f/1.4, with the crop it's almost 50mm, pretty close, but not as bad as 80mm. Plus it's fast.

TY I will check it out! I was hoping to go new, but I'm not a professional photographer so I can suck it up!

well if you want to stretch your timeline to slow down your video it would look a lot better than working off of 30fps adding the extra 30fps lets you be more flexible, specially if you don't need...

Thanks. I got it. I think this function is more useful for a Gymnastic coach.

If you are not a professional photographer, do you want to get this? I am happy with my S95 that I got new for $230 last year.

It's a good deal for the lens standalone, considering the double rebate thing going on I think if you want to buy a body elsewhere you can get that lens with it for cheaper, but haven't looked into...

It's not BAD if you actually wanted all of those items--but once you start parting it out (say you sell off the 24-105L + 600ex), it's no longer a good deal. You'd nearly lose money if you sold off...

Looks like it is dead, probably for the best. I've got 2 D800's on order that may never come an almost succumbed to canon temptation.

I don't know a single person (in the real world) that's planning to switch systems. If you have an investment in Canon glass then this is a great camera and if you have an investment in Nikon glass...

you can unload the lens easily. the flash maybe harder since only more advanced users would consider it. but multiple flash setups is addicting.

Get a Gary Fong to go with it. Don't use direct flash in the delivery room. You'll piss your wife off and get mediocre pictures.
