Nearly 1,500 pretty decent reviews says otherwise regarding Quality. Keep in mind more people review bad experiences then positive as well. I think some people tend to set their expectations too high...

No it's not. Sceptre is a Hitachi brand name for medical scanners, but Sceptre TVs are not made by Hitachi. Sceptre is a soCal off-brand that makes TVs. Basement picture quality and low reliability...
