I was thinking of taking this drive out of the case and using as an internal drive for my laptop. is that a bad/good idea? Will it run too hot because it's USB 3.0?

Just a heads up, this is the thicker form factor hard drive then what comes in the ps3, so will not fit into the ps3 hard drive tray. I just slid the hard drive into the ps3 without using the tray...
