That helped, i switched from SFTP to FTP, it defaulted to sftp and I figured secure is always better, right :)
its always tricky switching from cyberduck to text wrangler to coda they all use...

It is $99 generally and is available for 50% for a day. It is a great IDE that can do PHP, MySQL, Python,.... all in one. Pretty nifty and iPad companion app might really help some.
