Fry's was selling this for the same price 6+ months ago. I avoided it because of my experience with Sony Blu-Ray players and DiVX/XViD files. If it were LG or Samsung, I would've bought it.

Works well. The only drawback is that it does not read more than 3 levels of folders-subfolders. It reads all types of media files. I did not have any issues with MKV files.

The Sony's DLNA has a kind of built-in DRM that disallows .mkv and .avi files to stream wirelessly. In short, video streaming is somewhat borked on the Sonys.

Come to think of it, I did have some file errors, but the files I were using were junk and wouldn't even play properly on my PC. Never had to use h264level editor or anything. Everything worked...
