You shouldnt have any issues plugging that laptop drive in as long as it is SATA. As long as your laptop isnt too ancient, its likely that it is SATA. Since the laptop uses a 2.5" drive, if you want...

The post above cover many points, but I'll add my own thoughts. Laptop SATA drives use the same data and power connectors as desktop SATA drives. You just need an adapter/bracket to secure them....
