you dont need the cleaning dock or solution... cleans fine under hot water and soap... and what model of panny do you have... of course if you get a lower end model panny... you cant compare it to...

not really sure why anyone would shave dry when the option to shave wet is there... at the very least... there is less/easier cleanup... and the shave is likely better IMO..

cleaning with hot water and soap is fine short term but definitely not for the long run. you still need to run proper cleaning solution on it. i actually use hot water and also alcohol to sanitize...

Definitely better priced, but also depends on your hair type. I shave dry and about 5 years ago compared a low end Braun to a higher end Panasonic Vortex, the Braun won for me (closer shave/less time...

true.. but panasonics are most often found better priced/cheaper panasonics can be used in the shower or tub and can be fully submerged for cleaning etc and the provide pretty much the same...

If you're only going to shave dry (like me), then I would go with this 790cc. I tried both and used to exclusively own Panasonic shavers. You can't go wrong with either though.
