1% cash back on purchases after the first.. $2500 (I think) spent in a year. For the first $2500 spent in a year, it's .25%. There are also a bunch of stores that you can get up to 10 or 20% off...

I blow away the 1% spending threshold very quickly so my main cards are Discover.... about $1800/yr in cash back with those puppies. I am hoping they do another bonus GC deal like they did last year.

It doesn't work that way. Each card account is an independent account, with it's own credit line, etc. They can be linked for points and whatnot, but I've never heard of any bank allowing a customer...

I only use my Discover card for whatever they have the quarterly/monthly 5% cash back promotion on. This quarter is movies and restaurants. Everything else goes on other cards. No annual fee.

The minimum is easy to hit, but I'd rather get the full 1% from Chase Freedom for everything that's not a 5% category.
