Just going to stream this on either Netflix or Amazon. I'll see who has the better picture. Netflix has the better interface for automatically moving sequentially through a series though. I...

Nice find! I am re-watching the series on Netflix a couple of eps a day. SG-1 is my fav scifi show. In fact it was the only reason I had show time back in the day. Atlantis was pretty good and...

I remeber watching an interview with richard anderson. That only the last few seasons were recorded in high definition. So I am not sure if you can simply upgrade to hd with out the old stock being...

Thanks OP, finally decided to pick up the complete SG-1 series. Pretty solid price for a really fun series. I just need farscape bluray to go back to it's ~60ish price so i can pick that up too lol.

I'd pick up SG-1 at this price if I didn't have the individual seasons floating around. How about Atlantis/Universe complete series Blu-ray combo pack at bargain price  They mustn't be...
waiting for Atlantis on bluray to hit $50.

The SG-1 DVD set seems like a great buy if you're getting the full 10 seasons. It'll take roughly 10 SL DVDs per season, and that's not even including the time to rip and burn them and the wear on...

Buyer beware. Please read some of the reviews on Amazon for the packaging these sets come in. According to many, many people on there the packaging is mostly cardboard and some of the discs are...

Bought the SG-1 set for fathers day, and just received it. Before sending it off to my dad who lives outside of the US, I checked every disk for scratches/smudges. Only found 2 disks that warranted...

Hmm....tempted, but I think I'll wait to see if they release a version in better packaging. I'd rather not risk some of the discs getting damaged.

SG1 a great series, but it's basically a rip off of "Wormhole X-Treme!" which has a better cast and dialogue.

I wouldn't be too concerned with it. I think the fact is has 50+ discs in one container just increases the odds some of them might contain minor problems. There will likely never be a newer package...

I never got into Atlantis much, as lot of it seem repetitive of styles from SG-1. But then again, you can probably make correlations from Star Trek - Next Generation to SG-1 episodes.

Tips to those who get scratched discs. Use WHITE toothpaste or car polish to fix scratched CDs. I just use a small amount and buff it into the scratch with a soft cloth and this usually works.

You're probably right. Honestly I have only seen a few episodes of Atlantis. But it's inevitable in a show like this that you repeat old themes; as you say, Star Trek did this over many generations...
