I personally prefer Steam because some games are Mac+PC and I have both type of computers. Brotherhood is Mac+PC on Steam and it's not on GameFly

That is correct, given that AC2 is not on this list: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601 and AC2 is not a Steamworks game.

if you like steam my advice would be to pass on the AC stuff because it will most likely be on sale (and quite possibly for less) in the BIG steam summer sale that happens every year in the couple...
