The Target store in Cupertino CA has one on the floor (boxed) and it does have the new packaging and says "assembled" in the USA. Didn't see it on display so I can't comment on the quality.

The point is, it's not a "sound bar" if it's built into the tv. That's like advertising that the tv has built in external speakers :p. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as it actually sounds...
