Um well as a customer you should have asked what is expected of you, nothing to be confused about. Also it still could be a referb, but it might be new, depending on the issue they tend just to fix...

For Dell, it was just the notebook (no battery/ power brick/ hard drive), you are getting a referb of the same model so no need to send the rest out. But I would not worry about it and just wait...

Well since they are sending you a new one then you are going to return the old any parts/accessories going back should be included in the new one so you could just pull the notebook out and leave...

Not to HP, but every other return for replacement that I have sent, ALWAYS includes everything.
The original box if possible with every single included component.

According to the OP, HP will be sending a brand new replacement, so I would think they'll send it complete in the original box, but you're right... waiting 'till Monday to find out, is the safe way...
