I received one of these as a gift from RedditGifts, and it's fantastic! It's much brighter than almost any sub-$40 flashlight you can buy in-store. The single AA battery I put it in it is still...

i don't think its the batteries, and i've read other say the same thing about the costco ones. I've used duracell and eneloops both with the same results. ended up just leaving the batteries out and...

At least with them being OOS, that saved me $16!!!!

Your tutorial sucks. All of his batteries - including the ones NOT in the flashlight would be dead at the same time if this were the case and since I seriously doubt that is the case, it's the...

Great deal. I've had 5 of these now and they all are extremely bright and the batteries have lasted a long long time. Not sure what BrianC811 has been using, but mine have never drained the...

They supposedly have a site in Cali
Post #51107130 added 06-20-2012 12:00 PM by woodygg in Archived Deals
yes, they're bright and good backup lights around the house, etc. i'd never put one on a gun or depend on it while camping, etc. as they tend to not be that reliable.
Post #51107230 added 06-20-2012 12:03 PM by RandomDealz in Archived Deals
The are based out of Cali, some of things I've purchased get shipped from the US/Cali, usually get under a week. I've had things shipped from China that took 5-6 weeks..

love it... he's right. he said they don't make the flashlight... didn't say they don't make the LED. and in the world of flashlights, but some measures, they are junk - in that they don't tend to...

Is this really that of a deal? I guess this is the same, right?...
Post #51127448 added 06-21-2012 8:16 AM by thetimmy in Archived Deals
Ya I rolled the dice on this one, my two identical looking lights have vastly different light output, one is a bright pure white light and the other is a yellow and very much dimmer

Had mine for a year and still on original duracell battery. Zero drain.
Post #51114324 added 06-20-2012 5:23 PM by yayece in Archived Deals
I had the same experience with the Costco ones. 2-3 months tops, and the batteries would be dead. Back in January, I opened one up and clipped the leads to the little red LED that comes on when...

It's a CREE LED. CREE makes really good LEDs, which is why it's included in the description.

I own this light, well the q3 version. It works very well and is durable. Obviously it's a generic meritline brand, who cares?
Post #51102616 added 06-20-2012 9:02 AM by wysiwyg05 in Archived Deals
I have the black version, and the light works great! In 4 1. Thanks OP!
Post #51102656 added 06-20-2012 9:04 AM by RugerRedhawk in Archived Deals
lol this is the entire reason that the deal exists. All of these lights are shipped this way, not something to worry about unless you need it right away.

Did anyone receiver theirs yet? I received only 1. -- Nevermind -- The (1) was a previous order of the slim flashlight (SD from a few weeks back). I order so many of these meritline...

I didn't know SDers would be interested in a deal that's moderately less expensive than eBay prices, otherwise I would've posted this deal 2 weeks ago :D. The 20% Father's Day code has been around...

Unless when they say "off" they really mean "standby", genius. There are lights that have very low standby currents (like 50uA), so it'll take a few years to drain the battery. But this one should be...

little tutorial on electronics - if the things aren't on your batteries don't drain - if your batteries are dying it's your batteries that suck

Cree makes the LED, not the flashlight. SIPIK and others build a flashlight using cree LEDs. I have a couple of the Cree q3 lights like this from Meritline. They are fine. Not waterproof, but a...

280 Lumens? Lol... sure. I love how all these no name flashlight mfgs just put a random lumen rating on their product. Without seeing the actual light, I'm guessing it'll probably put out half of...

I love these flashlights, can't get a brighter or sturdier flashlight for $10. $5.80/each is a great deal. I pick a couple up every time they go on sale.

Love these. Paid $8 for one a year or so ago and want more for me and some friends who were impressed with it.
