Exactly, 2-hose is more efficient because you aren't creating negative pressure and sucking-in outside air. That said, the single hose still works, but you want to buy 10,000 (12,000 is better)...

It's extremely easy. That little sheet that comes on the top of it shows it all. There's not much to it. Put the thing in the window, connect the tube to the ac and turn it on.

Agree wholeheartedly with some of the posts above. Only buy a portable a/c if you absolutely cannot install a window unit. They are inefficient, wasteful, loud. No where near the cooling capacity...
