No difference for your usage. If you find a better deal on the 6400, then go for it. It's backward compatible.
BTW: the 2 gigs of ram you already have is plenty for what that PC will be used for.

You can still use the old hard drive, you just put the SSD in as your boot drive along with program installs, space permitting. I send most downloads to my 700GB standard hard drive by default.
