In this video, eyeoncomputers flashed his tablet from ICS to GB, then back to ICS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fATLTulwdQg I tried different FW yesterday, even with the one for 2mg camera....

Specs may be the same as the other tablets around this price range, but Android 4.0 makes a huge difference on those same specs. Gingerbread just isn't a fun tablet OS, and it doesn't run too well...
I bought into the cheap $70 china tablets a year ago. They were fun for 3 months then I got a Nook Color and rooted it with CM7 (Cyanogen Mod 7 -- a Gingerbread 2.3 varient). It EASILY overclocks...
Note: NewEgg just raised ALL of the prices on the VisualLand tablets *except for this one* due to their 35% coupon available today :( The model 107's were $149 and now are $199. The preloaded ICS...

Thanks OP, ordered 1 to try. I don't get why this tablet does not get as much attention compared to the $69 direct from China tablet. Is it because it has Android 2.3 or because of the recent $200...

Nexus 7 is nice, but with tax and $15 shipping, it's really not $200, but more like $235

I disagree. Read on many sites that ICS is much more optimized than GB. Plus, Google Chrome bookmark sync is awesome, makes surfing on phone/tablet so much more friendly as well! I don't think...

If there is no ICS source for a device of course GB is going to run smoother than some ported and tweaked ICS ROM. But if ICS is official for the device, then it will run better than GB. Like my...

Thank for the update. I did receive my mine couple weeks ago. I did want to add that the speaker is surprising loud....much louder than my BN Tablet 8GB. The Visual Land feels much nicer than the...

I checked mine and it appears the camera is not 1.3mp as listed in the spec, but is 640x480, which is a 0.3mp camera. Thus, I bet the 97F1 ICS image on their server would work with it, but I'm not...
THANKS for the links! Did you happen to snag the official VL GB 2.3 image before it disappeared from there? Learning and using ADB last night, I have backed up all of my nandA .. nandG...

For $70, this tablet would be decent for the kids or the family to throw around or take along to outings. If it was dropped or sat on, $70 hurts a lot less than a $230 Nexus. With a bit of work,...
You got me there. :D Honestly, I am not trying to say that people shouldn't buy this tablet. I just want them to reconsider their option and know what they are getting with the price they pay. ...
