There are definitely plenty of DIY options, but sometimes it's just better to pay a few bucks for a nice clean solution, especially if you have a windowed case.

this looks better but isn't needed. A SSD held by 2 screws on one side is fine. Also, cheaper 2.5 to 3.5 rails are $2.99 at Fry's everyday.

It works. I prefer a metal one, JMO. If you have the 3.5" slot, I would use one. Can't see paying $1/GB for an SSD and scrimping on a ~$5 converter bracket to secure it.
