1. take out battery
2. hold down the power button for 15sec with battery out.
3. place battery back in phone and put the back on.
4. try to turn on. If it doesn't turn on try a different charger...

I think they look at the original date of activation. I still have my Evo 3D.
Launch day was June 24th last year, so unless your CL buyer was an idiot (like me) to get it on launch date last...

well I just went to HTC's website and submitted an e-mail so we'll see where that goes. I guess it's back to my Palm Treo Pro again for the time being.
