tinfoil hat the issue is just that the android has a much smaller antennae, so try moving the router or setting up a repeater

You didn't say what tablet you have OP!!! There was an issue with early production Asus transformer prime tablets where the WiFi antenna was off and they did a recall.

Connectivity on tablets wont be as strong as you laptop's. People are around to fool you but nothing will help. Only solution is to get a better wi fi router.
