They are not mutually exclusive though. You could still sell older games on PSN while also providing a streaming service.

I do not think the disc will be needed/able to be used. If it was implemented, you are going to have to buy the game on PSN. Using the disc is just enabling the used game market, of which Sony gets...

interesting.... put game in drive, validate game, run game remotely. no need to have extra hardware/software in ps4 to support ps3

Doubtful. They like the added revenue from users buying the older gen games for their new system via PSN.
