Not true. There are i7 dual cores. If it has "qm, qe, or xm" at the end it's quad core.

The 10% assumes both use DDR5. This Asus has the DDR3 variety which will be MUCH slower.

Rb71 got an HD LCD screen and DS71 got a HD LED screen, thats the difference besides the hard drive rpm, its up to u if $100-150 more justifies an LED screen
