Just picked one of these up from Microcenter. Loving it so far. Note that some reviewers say the palm rest/base of the laptop is plastic. It's actually a sheet of aluminum that tapers the side, kinda...

This is so weird, I just called XoticPC and talked with "Roland" and he said they never flash their own version of BIOS and that the BIOS does not lock out 16GB of RAM. Now I am puzzled, don't know...

I bought this laptop from Microcenter and I seriously want to know how y'all can stand that the panel renders red as TANGERINE ORANGE. I don't want to return it but if there's no solution I have to.

Actually the 650m and 660m are identical chips. Both have 384 CUDA cores, and I think both the Asus and the lenovo will have 128bit gddr5 memory. THe 660m is probably clocked a little higher by...

Not true. There are i7 dual cores. If it has "qm, qe, or xm" at the end it's quad core.

The 10% assumes both use DDR5. This Asus has the DDR3 variety which will be MUCH slower.

8gb max memory does not make it very future proof. Doesn't seem right but even crucial's website says 8 gb. http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/ASUS-memory/ASUS+Notebooks/N56VZ-upgrades.html

I emailed both Xotic as well as another reseller asking which type of RAM is used for the 16GB upgrade. I will post back with results if I receive an answer.
