WIth LC, a 7950 can still beat a 7970 on air with the right VBIOS. But I see your point, and it would definitely be cheaper. You'll likely get 60%-75% of current retail for your current GPU.

Have you tried to OC your 7950 yet? I got mine stable at 1100/1700/1.098V at reasonable temps. I think that speeds lost rivals what this 7970 can handle but don't quote me on it.
